DeFi incidents are unusually well documented — the contract, the liquidity removal, the approval you signed, and every subsequent movement are all public. The difficulty is not visibility but interpretation and jurisdiction.

Verdict
Stated plainly
The hard truth about anonymous deployers
Where a rug pull was executed by an anonymous deployer who took proceeds to self-custody and never touched a regulated service, there is often no recovery pathway. We will say that in the assessment rather than open a case that cannot go anywhere.
Revoke approvals first
If you signed an approval to a malicious contract, revoke it immediately using a reputable approval-checker tool. An active approval lets the attacker drain new funds arriving in the same wallet.
Group and class matters
Rug pulls affect many victims simultaneously. Coordinated, well-documented reporting from a group of victims carries more weight with exchanges and regulators than individual reports do, and we will tell you when that is the stronger route.
